CBD Induces Rapid and Sustained Antidepressant-Like Effects.

Results from this study indicate that a single dose of CBD (7–30 mg/kg), dose-dependently induces fast and sustained antidepressant-like effect in distinct animal models relevant for depression which was sustained for 7 days after treatment.

For a 150lb person that would mean a dose of 480mg of CBD at 7mg/kg. Or 2,000mg at the highest dosing of 30mg/kg.

Although this is an animal study, scientist consider animal models to translate quite evenly to humans. In this case, we know that to truly address acute depression, for a period of up to seven days, at high doses of CBD are indicated.
